Back Up Lights

I have a 2000 Siverado Z71 and the back up lights do not work. I checked the fuse and bulbs. I am going to replace the backup llight switch on the transmission next. If anyone else has had this problem please point me in the right direction if there is anything else to check before replacing the switch.

If you have a voltmeter handy, check to make sure you're getting juice. Also, make sure that the lights are properly grounded. Sometimes even though the wires appear to be in good shape, they're actually corroded to the point of being inoperable. This could certainly be the case on a 2000. Good luck!
