2007/8 Sierra Compass

I bought a 2007 Sierra (new body style) and it has onstar, but a regular non-auto dimming rear view mirror. If I get a rearview mirror from a higher package Sierra with the onstar, auto-dim, compass, and temperature, will it work by simply plugging it in? Basically, my question is whether the truck is "pre-wired" for this, or not.

everything should work exept the temp.... becuase i dont think urs will have the sensor... and the side mirrors wont auto dim because they are the low end mirrors...

Thanks! Ok, then the question of the hour is, assuming I can get the rear view mirror and correct external mirrors. What is there to changing (is it possible at all) this module to allow complete use of all functions? Is the wiring already in place for the external mirrors?

I don't believe the wiring for the outside mirrors is installed. I'm guessing you have a WT or an SLE 1 without the convenience package.
