Rough Country Leveling Kit Concerns

Recommended Posts

Just purchased a 2 inch rough country leveling kit for my 07 NBS. However, now that I purchased it I am concerned that the rear end will sag when there is a load in the bed or I am pulling my enclosed trailer. I want the front end lifted so I can run 285 size tires but dont want the rear to sag with a load. Right now with a load in the bed the truck sits level. Any ideas on puting a 1.5 inch add a leaf in the rear so the rear will still sit about an 1.5 inches higher? How about a lift block? I know not to stack lift blocks and the factory lift block is 1.5 inches. Anyone try a 3 inch block in the rear with the factory block removed? Anyone try this setup or have pics? If so where did you purchase your add a leaf or block.

Dunno with the rough country 2" lift on my Z-71 the rear still sits 2" higher in the rear due to the factory block.

I see you have a Z-71 as well. Have you measured your fenders already before the lift? There's more than a 2" difference on the Z-71 because it has a block on the back already.

I have the same kit you have. What I am going to do is get a air bag leveling kit for my truck. That way I will still have the factory ride and when loaded I will have the extra stability with the airbag set up.

I have the Rough Country 1.5" front leveling kit and Fabtech 1" rear lift blocks.

Check out my pictures in the "My Garage" link.

I just put the 2in kit on a couple of weeks ago and I love it! ...doesnt look low in the back at all. Still is a little higher in the rear but sits like the HD's now..I would highly recomend the kit.

I fell like I"m 100% correct in saying 185 70 17's will fit on a Z71 fine, without lifting the truck.

There's a guy on here thats' got BFG's on his 4x4 and never lifted the front.
