so i updated my edge with the new fusion software, and now it wont program my truck because it says theres a missing file, and it tells me to update my programmer. So I ended up updating it two more times and it still doesnt wrk, anyone else have this problem?

What is this new software? Do they recommend that we update to it? What benefits does it provide? Does it change the functionality of the Edge itself? Your post makes me a little nervous and I'd rather wait until this gets taken care before I update mine. I have not updated my Edge in a couple of months, if I plug mine in, will it update using the old software or make me switch to Fusion?

Thanks for any input you can provide.

The next time you load up the lightning program it will make you update to the fusion. The fusion software is easier to use, you just click the easy update button and thats it, you dont have to select anything like on the lightning program. but anyway u are forced to update to this new program. Im about fed up with Edge , last time i used my programmer it had my computer all out of wack , the AFM wasnt working, and the truck though it was running regular, but i had the tank full of E85, so it was running lean and the check engine light came on, and then my trans started slamming into 2nd gear. lastly my remote start quit working and after i took off the edge and got the computer to reset itself then everthing was fine. so i called edge and the tech guy said uhhhhhh just try and update it , and i did and now this missing file bullsh*t!!!!!!

Thanks for the info. I have not had any issues with mine yet, but I don't have an E85 engine. However, even though the Edge has met my expectations, I am seriously considering ordering a tune from Allen Nelson @ Nelsonperformance. I have read pretty good things about him. Not cheap, but worth it from what I have heard. $375 for the tune, which includes unlimited free tweaks and updates. They have an exchange program for modules too, so you don't have to send yours in until you get his and install it, then you have 14 days to return the stock ones. Or you can buy an extra set from him.

i updated to the new Fusion last night ( dec 21st ) no missing files and no electronic issues as of yet,

i am happy with the unit so far - i am sure there could be more to tweak from the powertrain, but i am looking at keeping this vehicle a while so duration for me is a factor , returning to stock - warrenty issues yada yada yada

anyhoo - i hope my fellow GM-ers have a pleasant festive season
