Will acetone hurt the chrome on the grille on a 07 NBS truck ? Have some Gorilla glue on the grille of my new truck, dont ask. :( Or is there something better to take it off?

ummm i use acetone to strip chrome plating off of plastic peices for models and such ... so i am not sure if i would try it ...

as for what would work .. no clue sorry ... never used that glue before

Not sure. Try taking mineral spirits and scraping it off with a credit card or some type of plastic card. Mineral spirits is what the glue manufacture recommends using for clean up and it should not hurt your chrome.

Well, depending on whether you used the glue or the super-glue you might have a project on your hands. Most petroleum based stuff comes off with WD-40, or some of the stuff mentioned in the other posts. My recommendation is lots of rubbing with a very fine abasive, maybe even some fine steel wool used for polishing. Perhaps the following will help.

How do I remove from my skin or my project? To remove Gorilla Super Glue from your skin, soak the bonded area in warm soapy water or acetone (finger nail polish remover works well). The key is to be patient and NEVER pull the area apart.

Gently wiggle the area to allow the soapy water or acetone to penetrate the bond. After soaking, the adhesive should come off easily. Keep in mind acetone can strip your skin of oils, so apply moisturizer after removal.

To remove Gorilla Super Glue from the surface of your project, soak bonded area with warm soapy water or acetone. Keep in mind, acetone can mar the surface material or discolor fabric.

[ - ]How is Gorilla Super Glue different from Gorilla Glue?Gorilla Super Glue is a cyanoacrylate adhesive. Gorilla Glue is a polyurethane adhesive.

Gorilla Super Glue does not require extended clamping or moisture to activate. It does not foam during set up. In addition, Gorilla Super Glue is recommended primarily for indoor applications only.

Gorilla Super Glue is ideal for smaller repairs that require an instant bond and projects where clamping is not needed.

[ - ]How do I clean up?Wipe off excess glue immediately with a dry cloth or standard paint thinner. Do not drag glue over material, instead make small swipes to remove wet adhesive. Make sure you avoid skin contact. Cured glue can be removed with a chisel, scraper or sandpaper. (my personal favorite)

Acetone is safe on chromed metal, but I would not use it on chromed plastic. You can try gasoline to clean off that glue, if mineral spirits does not work.
