Xm To Sirius

Hi,

I am trying to swap an XM receiver (i believe it was factory installed) for a sirius sir-gm1.

Does anyone have schematics for this wiring?

I have the Bose Luxury system with nav and a 6 cd changer.

I can't find where the XM wiring leads to connect with the Head unit.

It seems like everything is taped together.

Should I start from scratch and rebuild the whole wiring circuit?

Does the loop go from the satellite receiver to the cd unit then to the HU?

Is the Nav in this loop as well?

Thought this would be a hour at the most! lol

that is tough, it should be a direct swap, though the antenna is not calibrated for the Sirius signal, might have to replace the antenna.

Correct it should be a direct swap. I had this done on my mom's Cadillac SRX without any problems except the head unit will still say XM but that is not that big of a deal. Your truck needs to be the classic style though. As the new radio for the sirius/xm conversion is not out yet last time I checked.

 

The XM antenna wire has to be changed with this wire.
