Changing Plugs

Recommended Posts

Isn't all 100,000 miles on every vehicle now for plugs? Others may weigh in on this.

I have seen people with well over 125,000 miles with original plugs.

I almost never replace anything unless it is broken.

Actually, I should have stated that I have seen people drive vehicles and those vehicles have well over 125,000 miles with original spark plugs.

I certainly did not mean that people run on spark plugs. The people drive the vehicles. And those vehicles have spark plugs.

My 1999 Chevy Astro Van (4.3 V6) with 180,000 was still running great with the original plugs and wires, till it had a Viking Funeral last year.

My 2002 Ford Taurus now has 90,000 on original plugs and wires.

If it ain't broke..... don't fix it.

I'll be changing my plugs and fluids around 50,000-60,000 miles.

Funny how different people can read the same thing and come up with a different conclusion: based on the above link, I'll probably by unscrewing and retightening my plugs every 30K. The fluids? I probably drain and put in new. :D
