Replace Or Rebuild?

Hey guys after recent tests on my truck i have that the transfer case is on its way out... I had the truck on the lift and brough her up to speed and heard some horrible noises coming from the case and all sorts of vibrations. I would like to know my options from this point. Is it possible to rebuild the case with better stronger components? IS it also possible to buy a stronger used transfer case that would fit my truck? Is it worth the cost to buy a brand new TC? also I have changed and checked all fluids to no avail
