If you were ever wondering what your RED GMC logo looks like black, wonder no more.. I had mine done and it really looks good, what do you think?

Looks good, I am planning on doing the same thing to mine this spring. What did you use to paint it? On my last one I just lightly sanded then applied two or three coats of duplicolor spray paint then a clear coat over the top. It held up for 6+ years, the only problem was rock chips.

Did you not paint over the chrome surrounding the emblem? Did you just tape it off or something? Also what kind of paint did you use?

I've been thinking of going with the All Terrain grill and a color-matched emblem on mine.

I'm amazed at how nice that looks. It really stands out and looks sharp. I was thinking about replacing my emlem with a chrome one.

That looks 10x better. It would also look very good I think with the mesh and surround black too but that only works when the whole truck is blacked out I think.

You know Ron I put a picture of your blacked out logo side by side with a picture of mine and set it as my desktop. After looking at off and on for a while now I'm thinking that I may go ahead and do it. We'd all like to hear what your method was!

My buddy runs a body shop so he did it for me. He does them for a local dealer, all they did is rough up the red after masking it off and sprayed it with duplicolor and then a clear coat. I would have done it myself but but it was a freebee.. they usually charge $60.00 to the dealer and the dealer offers it at $120.00.
