Kenbow Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 My 03 Sierra windows freezes shut all the time, are there any tricks or anything i can do to help prevent this? This is really getting old, any help would be greatly appreciated.
j.roffel Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 What are your temperatures like? warm then cold at night? Freezing rain? They shouldnt freeze unless moisture is getting in there somehow... After a car wash I have to band around the edge of the windows relativly hard to get it to unstick. You could try somekind of water repeling lube in the tracks, providing its not something like wd-40, that would get your window all greasy.
sdtahoe Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I get the same thing with my '06. I have to park outside and have a short trip to work so it does not always get up to temp to get rid of all of the moisture inside. I also notice that sometimes when it is not frozen shut the window gets moisture on it when lowered, so the track or weather strip must be holding some moisture inside the door.

No freezing rain, just about everytime it goes below freezing it is stuck, it takes about an hour of driving for it to work loose
jhoff8487 Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Mine does the same thing...it usually doesn't take about an hour but I'd say 15 or 20 minutes of defrosting for it to be free enough to roll down without feeling like I might break it.
