Tire And Offset Question?

I have a '95 chevy z71 silvy and im going to be buying new tires and maybe rims for it. I have no lift in it, but what i was wondering is whats the largest tire i could put on it without rubbing, 285, 32? Also what rim offset should i look for to have the tires stick out a little more? I am kind of new to rim offsets.

You can run 285s on stock wheels with little problem... BUT if you change offset they will rub when you turn big time without some kind of lift. Z71 wheels are something like +40 offset... so something like a +10 0r 20 would set them out further IF they are the same width.
