Dome/map Lights Dim

OK. Traveled up and back to Minneapolis/St. Paul area (over 700 miles each way) and noticed something a little odd with the interior lights. Had one of the map lights on and tapped the break to turn cruise off and the light flickered. Kind of light a bad ground, just a quick dim then back to normal. Thought is was maybe on-coming traffic or somthing so tried it again. Same deal, pressed the brake and got the quick flicker.... Being a long trip, had some time to experiment. Tried each interior light (both maps and both domes) and same results with each.

My experience says bad ground but wanted to know if this was normal or am I just seeing flashing lights?
