Shocks For A 3" Lift

First, thanks for the help with my question on leveling kits. I ordered the 2-3" keys from Truxx. They come with shock extension brackets. Instead of using the brackets, I was thinking of replacing the shocks with exact fit new shocks. The problem is, according to the Truxx dealer, the standard shocks will not be long enough without the bracket, but when searching for longer shocks all I find is stock length or shocks for lifts 4" and above, nothing for 2.5-3". I'm putting a 1.5" add-a-leaf on the rear, which I think stock length shocks would be ok with. Bill

The rears will probably "top out" when the suspension moves.I'd replace them too. Most shock resellers list shocks for lifted applications. Fabtech sells theirs for their 3 inch lifts. Rancho also makes shocks for GM 3 inch lifts.

4wheelparts.com or shockwarehouse.com... maybe even Summitracing.com would be good places to look.

Not sure if they apply to a 2004, or if the part numbers are still valid, but here's my post with part numbers for my 2002.

Procomp cheapies made for 1-3 inches of lift, according to the parts guy at 4WheelParts.

There's quite a bit of good info in the rest of that thread too. Might be worth a read.
