Gm Fender Liners Really Add To Overall Look

Broke down and bought the GM fender liners for my GMC over the weekend. Took about 30-minutes to install, 25 of which were to remove and reinstall the back wheels. Back end looks much better now, not that anyone would ever really notice unless I point it out.

As the owner of many watertoys that has tried every possible method of transporting on my trucks, the Thule XSporter system is by far superior to anything ever come across. I can carry 4 big boats across w/ J-style carriers, two cinch-straps per boat. Takes about 2 minutes to load/tie down, and they lower when not in use. Many other bike, ski, and other attachments fit the system as well.

I saw that when I brought my truck home I could see the white in the back wheel well and I did not like the look at all - So I undercoated the wheel wells black and it makes such a diffrence!

Yes, I added fender lines. Cost: $52.00 pair for dealer.

Nice touch.

You got a great deal then for $52 bucks. The cheapest I could find anywhere (online, EBay, etc.) was through GMpartsdirect.com and even there, once you added up the shipping it came out $20 more than what I paid at the dealer. Dealer had them in stock for GM list price.

As far as attachment, each one has (3) plastic fasteners that secure to the (3) pre-drilled holes already in your rear fender lip. Then there are (2) self tapping screws on each side of each liner, which are easy since the locations for the holes are already in the liners themselves.

Really helps the looks... PLUS, it makes your Kayak show up better than it did in the first pic. COOL!

What do you mean nobody would notice?

I think anybody on this board would notice that in the first 3 seconds.

And thanks a lot...Now I want a kayak again.

Nope,,,its this rack here:

It mounts under the bedrails. I know Thule makes adaptors for the Toyota CMS system found in the Tacomas, so it will probably just be a matter of time before there is an adaptor out for the GM CMS. The bedrail mounts are plenty strong and secure.

I am thinking about getting the xsporter for my 2004 Silverado, did you get the 421 or 422? I would use it to carry my canoe and misc. home repair wood, ladder, etc. How do you like it so far?

Thanks in advance.

Neil.
