Brake Booster

Hi all, I am new here, and I plan on sticking around and helping whenever I can :puke: I am currently having a general concern for my brake booster. IT is quite rusty, and I am wondering if it needs to be replaced, or if I dont need to worry about it just yet... any help?

Hmm, it wont let me upload a pic. says it is too big....my file size is 616K any idea how to make it smaller?

Surface rust does not mean much. If you like, you can lightly sand it and spray it with some black enamel. What matters is the vacuum diaphragm inside the booster. When that breaks, you need to replace the booster or have yours rebuilt. You will lose all brake assist when that happens. This type of failure is accompanied by a loud hiss. You can still stop, but you must press on the brake pedal much harder.
