Intermitent Hard Starting

I have a 2000 2500 sierra with the 6.0 , when the engine is at normal operating temp, it sometimes cranks over and over till it finally starts. When it does start, there is the smell of un-burned gas even inside the cab. the truck has 70,000 miles and had new plugs installed recently. has anybody else had this problem?

It sounds like it could be the fuel regulator. When bad, presure is to high, and it tries to flood the engine. Mark.

Leaking injectors or faulty evap system could cause this how long does truck sit between shutting it off when its warmed up and restarting?
