Alternator Specs?

Hello all. This is probably an easy one so I am embarrased but I can't seem to find the amp rating on my 2003. I need to replace my belts and I see that there are either ones for a 105 amp or a 145 amp alternator. I checked on the alternator but see no specs and also went over my original paper work and it does not list it anywhere. Is there a trick to find the rating i have. It is a 2003 1500 5.3 Z71 Ext cab. Thanks

There should be a GM part number stamped on the alternator body. Post that number and one of the parts guys will be glad to tell you what the rating is.

You can also use the RPO code to determine what it was built with.

Ok I checked today and I still see no codes on the alternator. Just Delphi Systems. I took pictures of the RPO codes. Is there a website where I would translate the code? I will try a google search in the meantime. Thanks for the help

There is a link to the RPO lookup under "Navigation" in the top left of this page.

I found it! I downloaded a RPO decoder from thirdgen.org I have a 105 amp code K68. Thanks a lot to you all for the help. I am going to save a listing of these options. Now I need to post my next problem!
