06 Gmc Sierra - Sluggish

Hi. Sorry to say that I sought this forum out when I found that I had a problem with my truck. Today, the installation crew at my local Best Buy installed a Command Start. When I dropped off my truck this morning, everything was fine. When I picked it up this evening, the check engine light is on, and it seems to take a lot of RPMS to get the truck to want to move. It's an automatic. (Yes, I checked the P. brake ) It's almost like when you get into a manual transmission truck and start in second gear, not first gear, you know what I mean? After it gets rolling, everything is groovy, but naturally, I have a concern.

The kid who did the install was of course gone for the day, and all that was left there was the evening shift selling car radios, so I couldn't ask what the problem was.

Other information: Last filled up: three days ago, but I've put 125kms on this tank fo gas since... Shouldn't be bad fuel, besides it runs fine...

If I drive it in a gear other than Drive like 3rd or 2nd, it seems to start off like normal. Did these folks fry my computer?

I will take it in to the dealership and have them take a wee look. I just wanted to know if anyone would be able to shed some light on this. Theories? Theories with costs?

do not take it to the dealer,they will tell you to take it back to the command start installer,he hooked it up incorrectly and must fix it for free,then bill them for the clearing of codes at the dealer if the installer doesn't have a code reader,should have takin it to a dealer that installs remote starts,savin' money and time now eh?

"Best Buy" is KNOWN for screwing stuff up. They rarely hire anybody that knows WTF they are doing. Daughter has a few friends that work there and I wouldn't let them spray water on my neighbor's cat for fear of f-ing it up. I'd be there when they open demanding that they solve it. If they can't fix it have them take it to the dealer on their dime. The so called big box retailer corporate stores like Best Buy and Circuit City are employee mills that go through help like we do underwear. I always recommend finding a local high end audio / electronics shop to do this type of work if you can't do it yourself.

Whatever. It's all good. I was wanted to know what the general consensus of what was happening with the truck, it turned into a critique of the qualifications of installers at Best Buy. So that was disappointing.

I just hope this thread would die now. I feel kind of foolish for even having posted my question in the first place considering the reception it got. Please let it die so we can get on with life. If I ever figure out what's up with the truck, --- yeah never mind... I'll just keep it to myself.
