I just got a quote of $30,024.00 for a new 2008 2500 HD 6.0 litre. The price on the widow sticker is $34,700. It is a W/T but it is loaded, Chrome wheels, chrome bumpers and grill, P/W, P/DL, keyless entry, CD player and more that I can't remember. One thing it does not have that I want is a hitch and a plug on the back. I will try to negotiate the hitch and plug into the deal if I go for it.

So what do you think, is this a good deal? Thanks for any advise. Oh yea, It is a 4x4 crew cab with short bed. The color is black with grey interior. I live in the Philadelphia area.

I just received a quote on a 08 2500 HD ext cab 4x4 gasser SLE2 loaded for invoice price less incentives. The dealer is a member of the Autonation group. No haggle internet price. Dealers in this area of south Texas have little to no stock so this would be a custom order price.

I got pretty much the same truck for the same price. Mine is a 2007 CCSB 4x4, W/T. Only difference is is mine has the hitch but does not have power windows. I also got GM step bars and bedliner( which I don't like but it was already on the truck) included.

I picked up an o8 gmc ext cab long box in january. It would be smart for you to get a gm credit card if your a faithful gm buyer. My gmc listed for around 42000, I had gm credit card points, the cash back at the time, loyalty bonus, plus what the dealer knocked off. I was out the door for 31500. ;)

Well, I ended up getting a 08 silverado 2500 HD 4x4 Extended cab short bed with the 2LT package for $30,050.00. It has the 6.0 engine and its the same color as WVSilverado's truck, with the light gray / silver... almost white interior. I went to look at the black crew cab that I spoke of above, and when I tried to take a test drive, the d**n thing wouldn't start. A brand new truck on the lot with a dead battery. There were three men working on it to get it started. They had the hot shot box out, and all the truck would do was go "click". The owner of the dealership was standing there watching and appoligizing to me,but the longer it took, the more I was looking at the red truck. Finally I said let me take the red one out, so he gave me the keys, and the minute I got in the red truck I didn't want the black one anymore. As I was pulling out of the dealer test driving the red truck, they were STILL working on the black one. When I got back from the test drive, the black truck was running. I went into the dealer and started talking to the owner about the red one. I asked him if he could give me the red one for the price he quoted me for the black one. At first he laughed, and then he said" let me see what I can do". When he came back over to me, he gave me the price of $30,050.00, $26.00 more they the black one, so I said OK lets do some financing and the next thing I knew I was pulling out of there with my new truck. The truck had a window sticker of $37,770.00.My wife wanted me to get the black one because it was a crew cab, but there was no way I was going to take the W/T over the 2LT with the Z71 package on it for the same money. Don't get me wrong, the W/T was nice, just not as nice as the one I got.

Its funny, when we arrived at the dealers that morning, I told myself that I wasn't buying anything that day, and two or three hours later I was leaving with the new truck. And they were not pushy about anything. Although I had to sit through a short movie about extended warrantys ( bad spelling).

95 Chevy, I would say that $7.7k off of sticker is a good deal! That is more of a deal like I was thinking a "good" deal is. I got my truck that was stickered at a little over $29K for $21K so we were in the same ballpark! I hope you like the truck, Now get a tune and have fun!

It's amazing how much more Crew Cabs are than Ext Cabs. They gave you 3 levels up worth of options over a bigger cab.

I ran into an extended cab sort bed LT2 4X4 D/L for $ 36,900. Then there was a crew cab long bed 4X4 D/A long bed for 36,600 at another dealership, but in LT1 trim. They both had optional leather seats. The crew cab truck actually had more nice options such as power sliding rear window, bedliner, remote engine start, skid plates, and brake controller. They both were new left over '07s. Which one would you rather buy? That LT2 package quite frankly does not get you much more than the LT1, except for the bucket seats and center console.

LT1 vs LT2 -without the LT1 Convience Pkg has more than just bucket seats and center console. There is the upgraded DIC, Dual Automatic Climate Controls, and don't forget that on the LT2 both seats have power adjusters. The last time I priced it out, the LT1+ Convience Pkg was only a couple hundred $$ different than the LT2

Sounds like it was a fun experience. I remember when I was little back in '98 my dad was looking at Blazers, the one he liked wouldn't start cause of a dead battery, so he just said "if its got problems already..... next Blazer" :)
