Raced A Bently !

You know you got to ask yourself "when was the last time you raced a bently"? I was headed up the PA turnpike and saw this dudes bently concord gt ...or something like that, the small bently that seems to be poplular. I was already doing like 70-75mph...so due to me not setting my Diablo right i dont have much of a passing gear yet but my truck gladly went into 3rd...whoo hoo..not much room there...lol. I was making all kinds of noise and had asked my girlfriend if she's ever raced a bently and she laughed and said "your kidding right?..."arnet those fast" I of course said yes but we need to test that. The guy in the bently looked at me in his suite and tie and proceded ahead at like 100mph...had 2-3 cars on me in a blink of an eye. Before i know it im looking at the spedo im doing like 115mph and laughing my ass off that this guy even bothered with me.

This is what im all about, if you cant have fun then go home...lol Anyway wanted to share me getting my ass kicked with you all.

by the way the bently can go alot faster than my truck.

well not sure if i would consider it racing ... moreso .. a preppy person that doesn't want to be passed by a truck ... i run into that on a daily basis while working.

...no wish i had the bottle full, honestly i got to get the diablo custom tuned for it yet..maybe by summer. I wonder if those things are fast off the line i dont think so but i imagine you dont pay $180k for a slug.

But yeah you all said it, another prep dude that just wasnt going to let me pass him. oh well, i figure if i cant beat him, ill do a bumper pull with him..lol

twin turbo W12 with like 550hp and awd if i remeber right. something like 0-60 in 4.6 or something like that. they may weigh a ton, but like you said, you dont pay that much for a slug.

lol u got 3rd at 70-75mph...That's instant loss for anyone. I get the tail end of 2nd gear at 75 and can ride it up to 87mph before I get 3rd. That's enough to get a big head of steam because the next thing you know your at a 100.

yeah i just got rid of that 3rd issue. see my old hypertech was a little easyier to program for mph vs rpms, this diablo requires some thought...anyway got my tail end of 2nd back at like 70 and is great now.

hey ws6guy, where did you end up finding those drl bulbs...i cant find them yet.. I saw a pic of yours on and got to have them..are they worth it, how long have yours lasted?

I have the hyperwhites to stay legal. Very worth it, much nicer & more evil look than the stock golden glowing bulbs. And they sure do look sweet at night when I unlock it. I've had them since September '07 and they handle well, last through the hot summer heat & through the bitter cold winter. The LEDs are much better on the battery energy too, not by too much but you figure every time you drive, those DRLs are lit, so why not save a little energy, they dont give the either so its much better for the lens.
