6-9 wks usually. Must have just made it when I ordered or they were in the process of making it. I cant imagine right now they are selling alot so they probably go through faster

Just got off the phone about whether I should order a new truck of my own (and trade mine in) and the Dealer Business Center said that GM is actually taking more orders of vehicles that people want vs sticking alot of inventory out there and hope that they sell it.....I didnt realize that until just now (it is good that I still have buddies in the corp world)

I went in Feb 11th and it was ordered later that week.

Out the door after taxes discounts and gm point a hair over 34K.

Ryan,Your probably gonna' be upset when I tell you this but....

You can now get the 6.2-V8/6-spd.tranny combo in the Tahoe's...Heres the notice us dealers got back on January,31st.......

"Production began in December on 2WD LTZ Tahoe's with the powerful 6.2L Aluminum V8. Coupled with the 6L80 6-speed Automatic Transmission (MYC), it turns out 380 HP @ 5500 RPM and 417 lb-ft torque @ 4400 RPM."

I bet those things will scoot!!!!

Ryan glad to hear your new truck came in so early, it is always nice to be surprised.

The L92 is listed for $7,095 though Jegs. That is the higher output version 403 HP/417 TQ. That would make a pretty sweet engine in just about any truck, although I doubt it would just blot up being a GEN IV engine.

Chevrolet's web site lists the 6.2 as a $1,295 option for the Tahoe, that would seem like a pretty easy choice if you somebody were to already be purchasing the LTZ option. It is +60 HP/77 TQ over the 5.3L.

would it be possiable to mount a 6spd tranny to the 5.3L?.....

just a thought? as my buddy has the 2001 Denali with the 6.2/6spd, and the towing

capabilities were very impressive! Wonder how or what the difference would be with the 5.3L?

Could be a few 6spd's at a scrape yard somewhere?
