ws6_guy Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 how the hell does ice freeze to a wheel cap like this??? No one touched it at all, I just drove home, got out, & my rear wheels got mini ice spikes on them, my truck is truly a punk rock truck
bigBP Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Wow, that's pretty cool, I've haven't seen water freeze on a car/wheel in that pattern before. You must have been driving at just the right speed for the water to freeze like that. Right now the entire front of my truck is covered in and ice/salt/dirt coating from driving across the state Tues morning. It's driving me nuts but I can't really do anything untill it gets a little warmer out (maybe this weekend if it's sunny).
s-ten Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Best vehicle ice formation I have seen. Few years ago I took a road trip in less then favorable conditions and that type of ice stuff was built up .5-1" on all of the sides and front, even more on the bottom. It was so bad that I could feel the extra weight on the truck.
Z71Adrenaline Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 You mean like this? I took my grandmother to the airport the last week of January and had to drive 150 miles each way in that stuff. I despise ice!!
Zembonez Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 What is awesome is that you BOTH took pictures of it...
dietz4ibanez Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 some ford guy must have pissed on your rims just before you took off and thats how it froze!

85GMC2500 Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Hmmmm, seems the brakes might warm the hub up and rim, makes some water, Then the spin and freeze, anywho that's awesome! Id take a pic of it too!
