Had a great experience dealing with summitracing.com. After a lot of research I decided to order a set of 4 KYB monomax shocks from summitracing.com. $51.95 ea. and a $10 handling fee for a total price of $217.80. Shipping was free and amazingly fast. The order was placed at 4 pm Wednesday, the shocks arrived 5 pm Thursday. One day! I don't think I could have gotten a better deal anywhere else. I have made numerous purchases from Summit over the years. Always fast shipping, no problems, and they also have superb tech support. I just bought some lugnuts from them a few weeks ago for my wife's car. And they always send free gifts such as stickers and stuff, or if you spend a lot, maybe a screwdriver or t-shirt. A+++ in my book.

I just got a big box from Summit this week. Another smooth deal. Why is it they normally get it right and others seem to screw up more often than not? They could give some of the other companies I deal with a few lessons on how to conduct business...

I think one thing is that most of the folks I have ever dealt with at Summit are car nuts like the rest of us. Any car nut will spend the extra time to help you out because they even get excited about someone other than themselves modding a ride. Each time I visited their store, you can hear tons of folks talking about their own experiences when doing some of the same mods customers are asking them about. I couldn't work their because I would never have a paycheck. It would all go to parts.

My local GM dealers didn't have the transfer case fluid I need so I checked out the list of vendors supporting the forum and decided to try Summit Racing.

 

I like their website and ordering system. The order showed up fast and the shipping was only $4.95. The box and the way my order was packed was impressive considering how simple my order was. I actually felt guilty over the amount effort that they put into packing three quarts of fluid. The price delivered to my door was less than the dealer retail price. They must get a bulk rate as I can never ship anything UPS for anything less than $10.00.

 

Looks like a company on the ball to me.

Summit usually "has" the latest parts before most of the competition. By "has", I mean "can actually ship the parts out the door", instead of just a product listing.

I hear and see people bagging on Summit a lot on other forums, but I have never had an issue with them, and I have bought literally tens of thousands of dollars worth of stuff from them (I used to have a shop, and still do some stuff on other people's cars).

 

Never had a bad experience with them. Any time there was any problem, they resolved it immediately, even overnighting parts to me and paying for holiday delivery. I have yet to find better customer service.

They will do a lot of price matching. When I got my Sierra I had it about a month before I wanted a Magnaflow Stainless Exhaust. On the site i think it was aroun 695 or more. Stylin concepts had it for 649 plus 20% OFF with a code at check out and then free shipping.... I wanted it but never delt with them. I called summit and explained exactly how to get the price I was given and they beat it by 1 dollar and i got to use my Summit Credit Card so I had 6 months to pay it off with no interest.

 

I have a 69 Charger and I order from them 90% of the time.

 

Great company and great customer service. THEY ACTUALLY KNOW what they are talking about.
