Auto Volume Control

I have an 07 Classic, with the std radio and single CD player. The Automatic Volume Control has quit. Anyone else have this issue? The switch has been set at low, medium, and high, with no change in volume with relation to speed. I've tried forcing it by rolling windows down to increase noise, etc, no luck. It's covered under warranty, so it will get fixed, I just wanted to make sure that I haven't done anything wrong. anyone?

It sounds like a malfunction to me. Speed compensated volume (SCV) is strickly controlled by vehicle speed input. The variable setting is to compensate for individual volume increase preference: windows down, exhaust noise, road noise etc.

Thanks guys. Going in the garage on Monday, so we'll know more after that. Software upgrade was already tried, so dealer ordered new radio. I'll keep you posted.
