Diesel Fuel At $ 4/gallon

It seems that overnight the price of diesel here in central Florida jumped from about $ 3.75 to $3.99 /gallon. Saw it today at several BP stations. This means prices of everything are going to jump again. How about your area?

Diesel is 4.00 a gallon and gas is 3.36 here in Michigan and i am glad i have a gasser.

I have several diesel vehicles, but I also have gassers, so diesels are not going to see much use these days.

$4.19 gal. for diesel and $3.19 gal. for regular unleaded here,Just south of Pittsburgh,Pa.

$3.09 for Reg Unlead and $3.39 for Diesel here in Texas. With 106 buck crude barrels... you can expect higher prices soon.

Your price increases just got delayed, that's all.

I wonder what high diesel costs will do to the diesel pickup future. I gave up on trading my truck for a diesel.

Some people have no choice but to pay for the price of diesel or loose income. The only way to get diesel prices back into reality which is less then gasoline, is a month or 2 trucker protest to stop the US Economy.

Sooner or later well start hearing about it, they did it quite a few years ago in D.C where a few hundred trucks showed up to protest. So I guess we will hear that the oil companys will get ANOTHER record profit quarter.

This all stems from the sub prime mortgage mess & the lowering of interest rates. They should draw & quarter every executive that had anything to do with the mess were in now. Many people have lost there homes and the value of everyone else's homes has dropped about 18% and they wont recover for at least 20 years.

I don't run an oiler---thus I don't necessarily watch for it, but I seem to remember seeing $3.79 earlier this week for Jet-A at the pump here in Ohio....

Jet-A/Kerosene/JP8 ... all largly the same except for some anti-icing additives (or lack thereof), aromatics, etc.. Jet-A sounds better than Diesel.....

If GM would use it's head on the 4.5L and detunes it to get better fuel mileage they would clean house on the 1/2 ton truck market. There's no reason it should make 300HP and 520lb/ft tq, not with fuel prices at $4.00 and climbing. You can't justify the initial cost and overall higher fuel costs of a diesel when it's only proposed to get 20 MPG.
