My guess is they are likely all mfd by the same company. They simply have a sealing washer and a nut that screws on from inside the pan.

Hayden is a quality supplier to us and I woudl certainly trust on they offer.

man these things are tall (about 1/2" inside of the pan)

not much room for error and they only drain about 1/2 of the pan

I would be afraid to install one of these. What if that nut comes loose and the whole thing falls out? Your transmission could be ruined in minutes and factory warranty would be denied due to unauthorized modification of the pan. I think that buying a good quality aftermarket pan (e.g. Mag-Hytec_ with a built-in drain plug is a better and safer alternative.

Also, one usually needs to change the filer when changing the transmission fluid. The drain plug only makes the job easier when removing the pan. It does not eliminate having to remove the pan.

I have the B&M drain plug bolt in mine. It's been there for over 150,000 miles. I replaced the plastic washer with a metal washer that has a rubber o-ring bonded to it's inside. That way you can tighten the crap out of it without squishing the washer out. A little locktite and you're done!
