Calgary Auto Show!

I was down to the Calgary auto show the week with my buddy, and I have to say I was impressed. Of course they had alot of nice cars but it was the trucks I was interested in. They had the new 2009 Ford there which IMO looks terrible. I think if Ford is betting on this new truck to help save the company they are ****ed. Now Dodge is a different story. They had there new 2009 Sport model there and I have to say its an absolutely beautiful truck. Everything about it was nice. I think they are gonna do really well with this new truck....

any pictures?

reverse thing for me, i think the dodge looks like s**t & the Fords new facia looks awesome ( especially King Ranch ) & the improved interior, not liking the tails too much though, reminds me a bit too much of a Tundra..

I went to the Mpls Int'l Auto Show on Friday and I agree with Williams on the F150. I was not impressed when I saw the pics when they were released and I was even less impressed after seeing it. I do think it will stop the "bleeding" of F150 defectors, and it will sell to current F150 loyalists. But will it be capable of any conquest sales? I don't think so.

I was really looking forward to seeing the new Dodge in person, unfortunately, I was VERY disappointed that they only had a stripped down RCLB work truck at this show. I got there right at the 4:00pm opening and it was the first place I headed to, so the EXTREMELY HOT Asian spokesgirl on the carousel (which was not turning yet) actually let me sit in it. Too bad it was the stripped model (I wish she was the stripped model instead :P ).

Sorry, no pics of the trucks (you have seen them all anyway), but here are some other pics I took:

Believe it or not, I tried. I walked around the truck to see if I could get a pic of it with her in it. I got around the carousel and she was walking away with some guy in a fancy suit. I am guessing it was either her pimp or her boss. :D

yeah, I like the Camaro and the Challenger. But being a GM guy and the fact that I WILL have a 1969 RS/SS Camaro in my garage someday. I would go with the Camaro. I can see it now...a restored 1969 sitting next to a 2010 Camaro in my garage....hmmm, which do I drive today? Decisions, decisions...

BTW, the black gal at the Challenger display was also extremely HOT!!! Again, I snoozed on the pics, sorry. I did talk with her for the full 15 minutes between her sets though. She was actually a true-blue car chick, not just a poser like most of them.

That Ridgeline is just ugly. And imagine how much fun it must be for back seat passengers - those doors don't open very wide!

The Camaro's front end looks a bit too much like a salmon. From the rear, if you cover one set of taillights and just look at one set of taillights and one exhaust, it looks pretty weird.

The Ford makes me wonder if they remembered that it should have a radiator. Other than that it looks, well, just strange and unfinished. The Challenger actually looks pretty good - hopefully they go with the sequential taillight.
