Warranty Question

I have a little bet going with my dad about the gm warranty...

 

My brake light bulb blew about a week ago, i went to auto zone, replaced the bulb... He's telling me i should have gone to the dealer its covered under warranty, blah blah blah...

 

My defense is , it is NOT covered under the gm bumper to bumper 3 year warranty, because it is a part that wears like brakes/ rotors / wipers / tires / etc...

 

So now we got a bet going and i need proof to back myself up but cant find anything on the net related to factory gm warranty.. only find info relating to extended major guard warranty's and such (which say they do not cover bulbs..)

 

Anyone know where i can find the info out ?

 

He works at a gm dealership as a shuttle driver tho, so he thinks he knows everything about vehicles...

 

I told him that the dealer will replace it for free out of courtesy, but in written gm form it isnt covered... HELP ME OUT!

Not covered, plus would cost you more to run the truck back to the dealer to get the bulb replaced if it was covered then the price of the bulb.

I need proof tho..... i looked in the manual and it mentions belts , tires , wipers , oil changes , etc not covered but not bulbs.... I called the dealership and they said they replace them but i know thats just out of courtesy ..
