Throttle Question

Alright, well my dad made a little bracket for my truck because the gas pedal was pretty hard to push and then when pushed would like to get hung up when we first replaced the motor, but now it hasnt "stuck" or been gummed up for prolly 6 months,

so i was wondering could this little bracket be the reason behind my truck not having the power or maybe tricking the transmission when i was in overdrive or the tourqe converter locked up? right now i have a switch to turn off the tq converter below 50 MPH and then when i hit it, it will shift into 4th and have absolutly no power and when im on the highway it constently drops down into 3rd gear if i give it very very little pressure.

This bracket makes the pedal have to go further i think so it could be the reason but if i take it off my pedal is pretty hard to push, or maybe i am supposed to get an extension with a body lift or something. please help me out.

heres some pics to show you what im talking about.

I would say that was your problem, from what I can see. You're not getting full throttle due to the incresed travel required.

:)

i would take it off and go back to stock. its changing your TPS and it is confusing every thing. plus your kick down cable is now also out of adjustment

:)
