Looking To Go Diesel

It looks like it's time for me to invest in a gigger truck and I wish to go with a diesel. Everyone in the hood has another brand or two of truck, so I need info from the experts of the right truck... Tell me what the story is, I am interested in 01 or newer with the diesel. Are they all turboed or do I need a specific motor code to be looking at. My uneducated guess is the 6.6 with the Allison is the best combo.

The DMax (6.6L) and Ally tranny are an awesome combo. All the Dmax's are turbocharged. If you stay with an '01 or newer you will be looking at a nice truck!

You are correct. 01 to 05 has the 5 speed Allison, if you go 06 or later you can get a 6 speed. If you do go with a 5 speed, Suncoast has a kit you can install to make a 6 speed. These are great trucks.

You are correct. 01 to 05 has the 5 speed Allison, if you go 06 or later you can get a 6 speed. If you do go with a 5 speed, Suncoast has a kit you can install to make a 6 speed. These are great trucks.

 

 

Where have you seen this Suncoast kit? I can't find any info on it.
