A friend of mine recently purchased a 08 c1500 silverado. Surprisingly enough the truck did not come with a hitch installed. There is a 12 pin quick connect that is capped off for a trailer connector. What i would like to know is if there are and parameters that have to be changed in the VECU after installing the trailer lead. I have a 07 k2500 with the trailer package and when i connect to a trailer the dash display shows "trailer connected". Just wondering if that would be any kind of problem at all or if its just a plug and go setup. Thanks for all the help in advance Cody.

Mine was plug and play. I bought the right plug adapter from my Boat Dealer for my boat and the adapter snapped right into the factory bumper cutout like it was made by GM. I plugged the tow harness into the backside of the adapter and Ive been towing ever since. It was a snap.
