I have searched but could not really find any usefull info about SLP's CAI... Does anybody have/use one? I like it's non-flashyness compaired to the GMPP one and that its actually one tube and not sections. Can't beat the price either...

 

 

So, anyone have any input?

If you are looking for a closed system, I would suggest you take a look at True Flow. It is not for everyone but it is a really nice system with great quailty, fit and finish.

you might also check out S&B intakes. they're a conical filter in a sealed enclosure just like the one you're looking at. it's also a tad cheaper.

will deffinetly be replacing the filter with an AEM dryflow at some point.

well i ordered it this morning, guess ill see how it works when i finally get it in.

Well if there is anybody out there that cares, lol... I recieved my SLP intake system today and I must say it fits up pretty darn well and wasn't complicated at all. The hardest part was getting the filter to fit all the way over the tube inside the airbox lol.

 

Not a bad piece for just under $300 I suppose...

well i must say, i wasnt expecting much from a CAI... but this system seems to do decent. truck doesnt hesitate to down shift as much and throttle response went up a little too. now ill just have to keep my foot out of it to see how the MPG goes.

 

 

deffinetly made the exhaust note a little deeper and when laying on the pedal, kinda sounds like a muscle car more then a truck.
