Can You Spare Some Shade?

Recommended Posts

I know it sounds weird, but I don't have any shade to wash and wax my truck in. Anybody else have this problem, and have a solution?

By the time I get enough shade from my house, it is too late to start washing, claying, waxing, vacuuming etc... I bought over a hundred dollars worth of car care products from Mothers, but haven't had any chance to use them.

My truck is black and I need to start taking care of the finish.

Yep, same problem here. Garage is too small and no trees tall enough to provide a reasonable amount of shade. I've been thinking about one of those portable/temporary canopy tents that I could setup just long enough for a full wax. Then take it down later.

EDIT: Like this! You can even play golf while admiring your newly waxed and shiny truck!

If you do clean mine you can use my garage for yours.

I agree when I had my black truck it was constant work to keep it clean.

That's a long drive for some shade.

Maybe I'll just take up golf, do all golf courses have shade tents like that?

Same prob here...I just wait until dusk as the sun starts to change colors as it goes down....usually just enough time before you have to turn on the lights and attract bugs.

I know alot of people where I am wash and dry there cars at there houses and then take there truck to the park nearby and wax it in total shade, I've never done it as I dont need shade to use the wax I have(Meguiars) just a suggestion if you have a park nearby, you could also go to a car wash that has the do it urself wash where you can park ur truck under the roof and wax it as I have seen some do it there as well, just a couple suggestions. I realize not every state is the same and has the same things but never know.
