yv1650c Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Hi, I receive today my Kit.. (Here in Venezuela ), and i noticed that It only contains 2 Front Strut Extentions... Not 6 as metion the webpage... I read a lot of time the webpage, and it swow pictures... 1" spacer, and 2 of 1/2". I believed that isntalling 3 per wheel it will get the 2" lift. I have only 2 spacers. look at the pics.. is it correct? Will it give me 2"? I believed too that if you only install 1" you get 1" lift, 1"+1/2" you get 1-1/2" ........ Now, i' only have two spacers...
ALEXANDERJASON Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 you have what you need. it looks like they just started doing 1" spacers instead of 1/2 and 2 - 1/4".
03blackz71 Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 They had too different versions of the kit. One like you stated with a couple of spacers. But you got the better one because it is one spacer per side and you have less of a problem with the install with the one spacer. It is better too because with the multi spacers you are more likely to shear off the bolt and the one spacer is alot safer and solid. I have the kit just like the one pictures and is was easy to install and gave me the 2" I needed to level my truck. I have it on my truck for about a year now with no problems or complaints. Just one tip for install if you are doing it yourself. The bolt that mounts closer to the cab or the one that is under the CV shaft I run it up through the bottom so I didn't have to take apart the suspension at all. Just loosen the swaybar end link and push the suspension down. I did use a prybar to help align the spacer and compress the strut at the bottom. And it only took me 1 hour to install.
rckt442 Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 I just checked my kit, which I received about 3 weeks ago directly from Rough Country (but haven't installed yet). I have the multiple spacer version, and I'm actually glad because I want the ability to adjust the height if I need to, to make sure I don't end up higher in the front than the back. To me, that would look worse than the way it is now. I wonder when they changed over to the single spacer?
03blackz71 Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 it first was the single spacer but then they switched to the multi spacer kit.
wlvrn1215 Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 I had the single spacer...a lot easier to install and sits perfect. The pic in my sig is with the RC 2in leveling kit.
