Crew Cab Rear Head Rests

Anybody else notice that the rear headrests in the 08 crewcab only goes up like 2 notches? If a taller person sits back there (I have 2, 6 ft. sons) and lays their head back, the headrest slides back down. If a rearend collision were to occur their heads would bounce off the rear window, not to mention it would probably cause neck injury. The headrests in my 02 would slide up much higher and stay up. Just curious if there is something wrong with mine or is it the way they are made?

I know this is an old post, so I hope 02 crew is still on the forum.

 

The rear headrests should be on longer posts that lock, just like the fronts. Is there any way to retrofit/fix this?
