How many of you like your trucks to be big ol loud things that you can hear miles off?  Which of you like your quiet exhaust the best?

I hate noisemakers, so I leave the factory muffler on, and when it goes another muffler goes on.  No glasspacks or Flowmasters for me.  I spend enough time around loud stuff, a quiet truck is kind of a luxury.

I like it somewhere in between.  Not glasspack-loud but not whisper quiet.  A mellow, deep powerful rumble that's 'there' but not 'everywhere'

I hope that made sense :)

i like being able to hear it when it comes time to make the little ricers scared.  kind of like a purr at idle then roar when need be.  nothing to make you deft.. thats what my stereo is for.

Right now I have a low rumble that sounds mean, but too darn quiet. I am sick of revving the motor and hearing almost nothing inside the cab. Now, I want it to be heard from miles away! I am thinking of trying to get true duals and either straight pipes, Flowmaster 40, or 12" glasspacks. Maybe I'm just turning into a redneck!!

High Tech REDNECK that is!!   hehe :)

Roofer remember to use water based paints when coloring your neck so its a little easier to get off later..

Aw screw it roofer, get your neck tatooed.  LOL  Red once, red for life is my motto!! Anyways, I lke a deep mellow note at idle, and a "Move it" note when I'm haulin' a$$.  That is until I get the stereo installed!

I don't like to be able to hear the sound from miles away but I do like a rumbling exhaust.

I get suspicious when it is too quiet around...lol.

I like em' LOUD. Have a 454 Engine wFlowmasters in my setup "Plans". I'm looking for older trucks w/ a 454 in them. I really don't care to hear anything from my passengers any way. LOL

I want loud when I get on it, but quiet while puttering through town.  I'll likely replace mine with a throaty aftermarket model when the stock one dies.  Until then, I can't justify it-

After i put my headers on I was a little disgusted that the sound was not there.  So I cut the pipe after my cat to hollow out the cat.  Well I wasn't able to do that so it stayed that way for two years.  Sounded good.  Finally had it welded back up and my muffler was bad so I put on a glasspack.  Quiet in the cab.  Never knew how it sounded until the wife drove off one day and it sounded pretty darn good. I would like a little more noise but that will come will I put on a high po cat.

When the time comes, I want something that won't be too loud in the cab (don't want to disturb my tunes!), but will let people in the near vicinity know that I've got something under the hood.
