Dealer Inventory

Have GMC dealers received all of the produced 2008s yet? The reason I'm asking is 1) Existing Sierra 1500 inventories are small around here(SoCal) and there isn't much selection. 2) Stopped by a Ford dealership a few days ago and they're still receiving production trucks from the manufacturer.

I'm looking for a Sierra 1500, 2WD (maybe 4WD if priced right) equipped as follows ...

5.8 V8

Automatic

SLE1

White with gray interior (absolute must)

Sliding rear window

Dual temperature controls

Towing package with brake controller

Before anyone blasts me about the Ford visit I have to admit the F250 styling is appealing to me. However the gas mileage is enough to make me choke (gas version) so it probably isn't a serious contender.

I'm not too sure you are going to find a 5.8L

Haha, besides the weird engine, you shouldn't have any problems at all finding your truck - maybe take a bit longer of a drive to another dealership?

There isn't a 5.4L engine either. You have choices of 4.3L V6, or 4.8/5.3/6.0L V8....

Unless he's still talking about the Fords . . .

Yes, I got the Ford's stuff stuck in my head. I'll stop trying to correct myself.

Drink a few beers, fart twice and all thoughts of a Ford will be gone. It is like a booze detox, only for Ford.

at the risk of being unpoplular,,,,i'll admit the new f250's look decent,,better than previous years,,but they are total crap. we have 5 08 250's where i work,,and the one with the most km's is at 23,000 and they are all falling apart. power windows don't work,,they all rattle like the doors are open,,3 of them went for trannies, engine lights are always coming on,,not to mention they all ride like they have a solid suspension. no one even like to drive them. gas mileage,,maybe 400km's per tank. 90% of the staff here at the dealership quit just over a month ago cause they were all stressed out from customers yelling at them about how there vehicles a junk. now what does that tell you?

Believe me you don't have to correct yourself... this band of nuts will do it for you... OH... wait... I'm one of them. Crap.

GM tuck inventories around here are starting to diminish. For a while they were way overloaded with trucks. I'm glad to see them starting to sell well again. You shouldn't have any real problem finding the truck you are looking for. Go to Chevrolet.com or better yet GMC.com and check dealer inventories. They will list vehicles in your area.

Good luck. You'll love your GM truck.

Not always, sometimes they linger.

You have to be kidding me, the Ford F-250 frontend is about the uglyest thing on 4 wheels with the upside down look from the front. The Ford guy that designed that should be fired.

F-250,350, and 450s are all I see around here. I hardly ever see a NBS GM HD. I see quite a bit of OBS HDs but still see a ton more Superduties.
