Peragon Folding Cover

Got my Peragon Folding cover last week spent around Four hours for the initial install plus some additional time spent re-enforcing some of the parts make them stronger so they function properly. Overall the cover looks nice once you've installed it, but due to poor design and poor quality this product is not worth the $600 price tag more like a $300 at most.

This is what it looks like once completely installed

This guiding rail is on both side of the bed its' purpose is to guide the wheel into the tracks when open and closing. I had to re-enforce these two by welding on a steel rod, without this re-enforcement when you close the cover the weight of you pulling up against it cause the rail to flex and bend horribly.

Also only after a few usage the wheels started to bend which cause closing the cover a little bit difficult and tricky.

Overall this product is over price for the quality, the cover itself is well made but the hardware and mechanical aspect of it very low grade and do not represent the $600 price tag well (BTW these were going for $800, glad I did not paid that or else I would have been more p-off)

Search for Peragon you'll find their website the product demo video shows this thing functioning really well and smooth , but it is not the case once you actually bought it and installed it on your vehicle.

On a side note in Peragon demo video it shows the cover can easily be open with just a simple light push. Not the case here it require quite a bit of pressure and the kicker is if you don't move your hand out of the way quick enough it will smash it. up against the front of your bed.

I had a buddy that purchased one of these without knowing that much about it all, I can tell you that he is disappointed. His major complaint is that he get a lot of water in his truck bed, although he likes the fact that it doesn't take a lot of time to remove the cover if you need the full use of the bed. I think it looks good but I'm glad I got a chance to see it before I ordered one. I ended up with a RETRAX which I totally recommend.

Cheers Primo.

Yeah, my advice would be to take it off and return it. I'd go with the Lund Genesis 3-fold soft cover. My personal favourite.

Their return policy is pretty horrible so I'm just going to deal with it for now until I have money for something better.

That crazy thing was poorly designed and engineered. Probably some ex-NASA engineers had a hand in it.
