Stock Horn In Gmc Sierra 1500 Nnbs

I would have to say the one thing I hate about my GMC is the stock horn it came with. I think my g/f's cobalt horn has a deeper tone then the truck. Has anyone switched out the horn to something a little more beefier? And if so could link what they put in or simply if it was easy or not. Thanks

I dont mind it at all

My buddy had an old Chevrolet Beretta. The horn was broken, and it let out a quiet, high piched squeal. Funniest thing ever.

edit: Now the panic button on the remote - that is a cheezy honk.

I don't mind mine. Its a horn that I didnt design or choose so I see no need to be embarrassed by it. Its not like it yells "this driver has a small penis!!!"

Horns are for 2 things;

1. People that are trying to get the attention of a fellow driver or person that isn't paying attention

2. Honking in traffic pointlessly assuming it's going to accomplish something. The only thing it manages to accomplish is the domino effect causing other vehicles to honk since someone else is doing it. That in turn causes the nervous people to hesitate and assume they are the ones being honked at making them step on the gas causing a collision. The collision causes more back up and in turn more people honking.

How often do you actually use your horn anyway? The most I hear my horn is when I lock my truck with two pushes of the button on the fob, causing the the truck to honk.

Well I do live in Orlando so the horn can actually be used on a daily basis.
