Help Needed With Build Sheet And 2 Way Remote

Guys,

I was wondering if someone on here could help me out. I need to get the build sheet (think that is what it is called) for my truck, as I want to order and install the advanced 2 way remote system in my truck. The problem is that the dealer here will order the part, but only if I can tell him the part number. As I live in the middle east, the dealer will not be officially launching the 2 way remotes here.

I have spoken to a friend of mine that works for GM here, and he has been a great help. But he is having a problem getting the build sheet, and he is not sure which part number is the correct part number for my truck. And with the dealer not releasing it in this market, thye are not a great help at this stage.

So, I would be very grateful if someone could help with the following:

1). Build sheet for Vin no: 1GTEK19J78Z120533

2.) Confirm the part number needed for my truck to be upgraded to advanced 2 way remote starter.

Thanks is advance.

Sorry I don't have access to build sheets...but I'm sure someone will repsond. What do you mean dealer will not be offically lauching the 2-way remotes? The install requires dealer involvment since they have to use the Tech2 to reprogram the system. Unless you have the GM equipment you won't be able to get the remote to work.

There are three different part numbers for the two way remote.

For Use on Vehicles with Extended Range Remote Lock Control (AP8)

Part Number: 19171128

For Use on Vehicles with Remote Keyless Entry and Engine Start (AP3, BTV)

Part Number: 19171129

Use on Crew and Extended Cab Models with Keyless Entry (AU0), But Without 5-Speed Man. Trans. (TZ0) and Rear Sliding Power Window (A48). Use on Regular Cab Models with Keyless Entry (AU0), But Without 5-Speed Man. Trans. (TZ0) and Rear Window Defog (C49)

Part Number: 17802087

I would say that it's probably part number 19171129 that you'll need. The dealer also will need to do some programming during the install to integrate it into your truck's system.

Unfortunately I can't help with the VIN check to get the option codes for your truck.

Guys, thanks for the help so far. The reason for the build sheet is to make sure that whatever version of the 2 way remote I order from the USA will work in my truck. Since the local agent has confirmed they will not be releasing it here, they have confirmed that they will order and install it for me. They will not help me to find out what the correct part no is, and that is what i have to do.

My truck is an extended cab, Auto, Z71, remote start, keyless entry. Here they import one spec only, so the only thing you can pick is the color. (if is stock).

So, I am hoping someone will ocme to the rescue.

Thanks again

Make sure your dealer can access the install and programming instructions from GM - the kits don't come with any instructions other than an owner's manual for the remote fob.

Also, while you're waiting for the "rescue" check inside you glove compartment and compare your options to those listed in DofD's post above - you can probably figure out which of the 3 part numbers you need based on the options you have.
