Not New, But Back With A New Truck

Just logged in for the first time since 2003 (LOL) so I figured I better start here and say hi. If anyone remembers I have a '76 Suburban with a modified big block (now a 468). Well yesterday I bought a '08 Silverado LTZ crew cab, safety package, 20's, and sunroof. Thought I'd check out the Forums and see what the hot mods and accessories are on these new trucks. I've only got a little over 300 miles on the new truck (the old sub just rolled 150K) so of course I'm in totally in love with it so far.

anyway, I'll get my profile updated and glad to see the forum is alive, kicking, and doing great!

Actually, the funny thing is that in my high school of 278 students total from grades 9-12 there were 3 guys named Tobias. I even moved into town from Japan at age 10 so it's not a geographical thing.

OK, here's a shot of the Sub at Houston Motorsports Park, a local 1/8 mile track...ran in the low 10s at around 70 mph, but that was on the old 454 with 140K miles. Now sporting a roller cammed 468, headers, intake, MSD, Speed Demon 750 VS, MSD 6AL w/billet distributor, etc. Haven't been back to the track since I installed it a couple years ago, though.

 

 

As for the Jeffs...well, there's a supervisor in my dept named Jeff, and my manager is named Jeff, so when we all report to meetings we're the three Jeffs.
