Is 12MPG city/16 MPG highway realistic for this vehicle? Even the 2WD version? Even when driven very conservatively? I know it has a 6.0 liter engine and 4.10 rear end, but it is lighter than a full size pickup.

I know a guy that has one,a 2wd version,and thats what he gets...12/13 city and 15 highway.

I found a gas mileage poll on one of trailblazer SS sites and most get about what the EPA sticker says. It would be a fun vehicle at $ 23k brand new, but I do not need a gas hog. I already have one (my Z71 )

Yep, that sounds about right. I was getting around 12-14mpg average with an even mix of city/hwy. Obviously you may do slightly better or worse depending on how you drive. Buy it for performance, not MPG.
