i noticed the only time my cargo lights come on is when i turn the dimmer nob to keeo the interior lights on and thats the only time arn't they supposed to turn on with the lights when i lock and unlock my doors?kinda pisses me off ....fords are like that

I know this isn't the answer you want but that is the only time it is supposed to turn on.

Yeah,Thats the way it works.

On the GMT800 trucks they had a separate switch where the cargo light would come on without the interior lights being on,I don't know why they changed it.

I thought I heard something a while ago where if you pulled some knob out slightly or something... Might be for something completely different though.

Nope that's the only way it works, but we can start to play and mod it if it's something we want to happen.

I would think for safety reasons; so you are distracting someone behind you with the white light. That would be my guess.

Yeah its a safety reason, anybody ever follow someone down the road with one on? I have and it is distracting.

My cargo light is bright as hell, same factory bulb.

It would really help if they pointed down into the Bed, or had projector beams down into the bed.
