Arm Rest Installation

Hey guys,

I recently bought a 99 Sierra with leather bucket seats. It was missing the drivers side arm rest until the other day I happened to find it under the rear seat. I tried to put it back on but it will not stay attached. I must be missing something because it seems that there is no way for it to stay on there. If anyone could help out I would really appreciate it! Its annoying driving without it.

Jim

Anyone?? Noone has replaced an arm rest on one of these trucks? There has to be a clip. I called a local dealer and they couldn't find a part number for it.

The part number is 12382236.

Thanks. I ordered the part and picked it up from the dealer. Now I can't figure out what to do with it? :dunno:

You are going to have to pull the seat cover half way off to access the slot that the clip fits into. Good luck, they are a PITA to get at, especially if it's your first time. You might want to check and see if there is an interior trim shop near you and what they would charge.

We actually figured it out. We pulled it an inch over and were able to get at it. It was a PITA to do but needle nose pliers were a great help.
