Anyway I am in Dallas right now and I got pulled over by a state trooper yesterday on I-10 and he tells me he pulled me over for driving on the left lane. I was completely confused and my exact reaction was "Huh?" and he probably thought I was stoned. So he then asked me to roll up my window and he said it was too dark and he was gonna have to give me a ticket.

 

He "Highly suggests" I remove it. I responded that the sun is a real pain in El Paso and I must have offended him. (I was not trying to be an ass at all) and he said "well we don't have tint on our cars" and then "Police in El Paso do have..." came out of my mouth, but luckily I caught myself.

 

He said "Have a safe trip" and I was off.

 

First time in my life I have ever been ticketed for Limo tint. (I have had 5% tint in all my vehicles) and I have been pulled over by a State Trooper in El Paso who gave me a warning for speeding downhill and I didn't ride my brakes. That Trooper never said anything...

Oh and I was driving on the left because I passed a Prius (Seriously) who sped up and kept up with me so I guess that it looked like I was just driving in the left lane.

i live in texas....and go to dallas regulary those guys are pricks!!!!!! They always check tint on custom trucks. They have to pay for those new cars somehow. Sorry about your ticket

Thanks. I'm over it now I mean it HAD to happen to me sometime so I had my cherry popped on this trip. Im just glad I have to pay and it was not a "Fix-it" ticket where I have to get rid of the tint and prove it to the judge.

Doesn't surprise me, as Texas state law says 20% is the max you can have for tint on the front two windows.

I know what the legal limit is but I have never had a problem with it on any of my vehicles. I really don't care, I know I was breaking the law and the guy is just doing his job so I am over it.

 

Oh and Justin it was not in Dallas in was before Van Horn on I-10 before I got onto I-20.
