Turn Downs

i was wondering if anything would change if i cutoff my exhaust tips and just put turn downs after the muffler? i like the way they look but one of them is welded crooked and i hate looking at it.

The note shouldn't change much since your currently running a side exit before tire, but it will drone in-cab a little more. I would personally just get the tip fixed, tips look & sound better imo.

I had turn downs right after the muffler on my old truck a 89 Chevy with a 5.7 and it made it really drone in the cab and i had a factory style muffler too. needless to say i didn't like it to much. Now I have a 2002 gmc with the 4.8 and turn downs, not after the muffler but they go over the rear axle and dump right before the spare tire. Sounds much better in my opinion, little drone in the cab with a 2 chamber flowmaster but not bad. To me turn downs are way better than tips i like not being able to see the exhaust coming out make for a more clean appearance. Anyway just giving my opinion NAC
