Spark Plugs

I read in the manual that the part number for spark plugs in my 02 4.8 is an NGK #!!!! Are there NGK plugs in it now, if so why???

What's wrong with that? I used NGK in my Datsun race car with great results.

Personally, I use AC Delco in my 350 with no problems.

Nothing wrong with that I dont guess, just used to AC being in there and wondering why AC isnt good enough to be in there anymore???

Could be an alternate supplier.  Big 3 has done so many cost cuts, AC Delco doesn't necessarily mean original equipment anymore.  That is why it sort of sux being in the automotive business.

Yea, alternate supplier.  It's not uncommon for GM cars to have NGK plugs in them.  If they don't have A/C available I'd recommend an NGK anyway.
