I would have thought a GM factory part would work better? We'll see, my dealer has ordered it for me.

I called my dealer yesterday wanting to buy one. I gave him the part # and the guy said it came back as an invalid #. He asked where I got it from and I told him from the GM website......Apparently their advertising these things before one can actually get one

I tried ordering one of these last September and it wasn't available, even thought it was on the website and in the accessories catalog.

i bought the PAL for the chevy HHR. It said on the maual that it worked on the US8(i think, did this back in Dec.) radio and thats what my truck had in it. It wouldnt work. I would love to get one when GM finally decides to put this part out. It kills me that this has been advertised since late 2006 and still no part. Anyone needing a PAL that works on the HHR, Equinox, or Solstice let me know. I ahve all the parts in original box. I didnt send it back because I didnt try to put it in for about 3 months after I got it and GM Parts wanted a 20% restocking fee. Anyone who gets the one for the Silverado let me know, I am interested.

Maybe he can't type good. Mine just came in today. The box says it fits full-size truck and H2. I'm having it installed as we speak. I will try to get pictures up and my thoughts this evening when I get home.

Maybe he can't type good. Mine just came in today. The box says it fits full-size truck and H2. I'm having it installed as we speak. I will try to get pictures up and my thoughts this evening when I get home.

I just called another dealer yesterday and gave him the same #, and its not available yet.

I printed that webpage that I posted above. I took back to the parts counter and he placed the order for it. It arrived 5 days later. As I stated before I will take pictures of the box (including part number) and the instructions that will be left over after the installation. It has it own owners manual because it appears to have alot of features. It is a module that must be installed behind the dash not simply a cord that plugs into the radio.

I bought a $5 Philips wire from Wal-Mart...theres no point of browsing through songs in your stereo it would just take too much time..

iPod>Stereo

..but thats my opinion.

The sound quality is not as good, no charging capability, no display on the stereo of whats playing, and all the wires strung across the dash make it not so appealing for me.
