Stock Chevy Wheel Backspacing

I have searched this again and again. Does anyone know what the backspacing is on the stock silverado wheels. Like the ones from the LTZ and LT models. The 20s.

Like the ones on the chevy in the logo here.

Has anyone ever added spacers to the front wheels of a 1500 to give it a more aggressive stance, like the HD or 2500? They look too tucked in.

Are there any differences in the back spacing between the 2002 and late model 2008-2011 chevy trucks? I have a 2002 Avalanche and want to know if the newer rims are bolt in without interference issues.

Thanks.

OEM = 17" x 7.5" with 31mm offset = 5.5" backspacing

Fixed.

Factory backspacing:

17x7.5= +31mm offset(5.5")

18x8= +31mm offset(5.7")

20x8.5= +31mm offset(5.9")

if the stock 20s have 5.9" back spacing, why does the Fabtech lift require aftermarket wheels with 5.5" back spacing to prevent rubbing? I would think the .4 of an inch more would be enough.

or is it that the higher the number the closer to the hub? wheel offsets always cornfuse me.
