Another Leveling Kit Question!

Recommended Posts

Quick question. If I use the RC kit and don't take anything apart except the two bolts where the spacers go, will I have to get it realigned?

If I don't take apart the ball joints or tie rods, what changes that I would need to get an alignment?

Simply put, if you alter the height of the front end of your vehicle, via the suspension, then your alignment with be altered as well and will need to be corrected.

The toe will be out.

Think about it this way, on an IFS when you put a leveling kit on the truck, its making the suspension "flex" a little to achieve the lift. GM did not design the system to NORMALLY ride in this modified position, therefore you have to adjust the suspension to make the new position the "normal" ride height again, i.e. make the tires have 0 camber.
